Plan on moving to Mableton, GA near Smyrna towards end of year
And am wondering what resources are up there related to quilting? I did see a nifty local quilt shop but it was closed on Monday.
We will have to make new friends and I'm hoping some of them are quilters.
the good news is if we get the house we are going for, I would have my own sewing room, for the first time ever!!!!
I'm able to do some driving so can go in all directions if necessary.
*Not related to quilting - but Mr. Stitchnripper likes to play games similar to Dungeons and Dragons and will have to find a new group of geeky middle aged men (he is turning 60 so maybe older than middle aged) if anyone knows of anything*

There are a lot of quilters in the Atlanta area. I believe there is a quilt shop in Mableton called Stitch'N Quilt. I have never been there, but I am sure that they have lots of resources to connect you up with other quilters that live near you.
There are gaming groups all over the city. You can check this site http://www.meetup.com/boardgames-35/ or go to www.boardgamegeek.com and they often will tell you which game stores have a game night for the game he likes to play (Magic:The Gathering, Android Netrunner, etc.).
Congrats on the move!
