Then welcome to the crazy club! I have a Janome Artistic 18 and have been lusting after computer quilting program for a while now. FMQ is fun, but I sure would love to let Annie do the driving on her own.

a friend has the computer one and she even can sew on the binding as she quilts...when she takes it off the frame it is all ready for me to trim and turn the binding and stitch/applique it down.

Still waiting on my machine. Forgot they are closed on Wednesdays. Maybe tomorrow.

Thanks to everyone for telling me we aren't crazy! Looking at the software on my computer and watching the tutorial DVD trying to learn how to use Quilt Motion is like trying to learn to drive a car, without the car! I feel the instructions are a little lacking and am hoping once I get my Bernina loaded on the frame it will all make sense. I'm so anxious!

I hate to say it, but my SIL is also computer challenged, she's been having trouble figuring out her new sewing "computer", and I'm afraid she'll get discouraged.
My local Bernina dealer is more than ready to work with buyers, teaching them how to use their machines until the customer is feeling comfortable with his or her purchase. Bernina is one of the better companies around when it comes to customer service. Congratulations to both of you .... my envy is showing, can you tell?

I think all quilters are a bit crazy. Consider what it is we do. We buy big pieces of fabric, cut them up into little pieces and sew it all back together into something big again. Could seem crazy. Them we do it all over again and again.
