I have pressed my smaller quilts to get the center crease out. When I do that, I spray both sides with water, then press from the back.

I press my seasonal wallhangings before I hang them. They get creases from being folded in between seasons and holidays. I use an 80/20 batting and haven't had any problems with the pressing.

Nah, they usually get shoved into a box and wrapped as a gift... I haven't yet kept one of my quilts. LOL

I do press mine after washing. Then I have a clean quilt that still looks new. I also can spy any loose seam, etc, but that usually doesn't happen. Just me.

No, I can't say that I've ever pressed a quilt once it is finished. I never really thought about this - it's so smooth once it's quilted.

Wash it, dry it, fold it, give it. Done.

Occasionally I press a quilt, but I always press my table runners. I use warm and natural or warm and white as batting and have never had a problem pressing them with a hot iron.

I would block the quilt instead of pressing it. I'd be afraid of melting the batting or something else.

When I glue baste and FMQ a quilt, I then wash it to remove the glue. I like the way the quilt looks after it's pressed, so I iron mine.

I wash mine then very, very lightly skim over them with a steam iron. It leaves the creases in the valleys created by the quilting but just smoothes out the fabric in between. I prefer the look it gives.
