30's fabrics

Have a large variety of 30's fabrics, yardage and fat quarters. Any suggestions for patterns. Thanks

I would pick something from that era. There are many patterns that were popular then... dresden plates, churn dash, grandmother's flower garden. What you pick should probably be decided by the quilting process you enjoy most. Do you like applique? Do you want it pieced etc. Maybe google 30's quilts or depression era quilts or something like that for ideas. I'm sure something wonderful will come to you.

I'd take a look at anything by Darlene Zimmerman, who has designed 30's style fabric, has a website, and has written books, same with Eleanor Burns.

My friend made a pattern called "American Pie" (I think that is what it is called) out of 30's fabric and it was so beautiful. I have seen many patterns done up with 30's fabric and they all are pretty. I love 30's fabric and have 2 bins full and hope to start on a new quilt soon. Also, you may google patterns made up of 30's fabric and many images will come up for you to search. Good luck and please share when you have made your quilt.

I made a quilt last year with 30s prints. I used my Go! Baby value die to cut the pieces and made up the pattern as I went along. It turned out great, went together quickly and would be very easy to make the quilt larger or smaller.

I always like to look for free patterns on Google:

Yes! There's one on her site called Oopsie Daisy that I love.....the mix of the 30's fabrics with white....I have a pattern for a child's quilt with that color scheme.
