Try to ignore the bigger site of it all ... and go for the Just 15 Minutes approach!
I did that a couple of months ago ... My fabric was all in bins, but all intermixed. I had been wanting to get it sorted into colour groups but only saw the insurmountable lot of it all. Finally I said, Just 15 minutes .... sometimes that's all it was. Sometimes I kept going for longer. I soon saw progress, and how much I did in so little time ... and that helped me keep going back to it and doing more, til it was done!

Yes, just do a little bit at a time and you will get it done, anything you aren't going to use....donate!

Just start ... set your timer for 15 minutes and promise yourself that you will stick to it for Just 15 Minutes ... and that you'll do that at least once a day. As you see the progress, I bet you'll find you're spending longer than Just 15 minutes at a time! :)

Plus ...... you've given yourself some accountability by "showing" us the before!

Good Luck ... and have fun finding the fabrics you had forgotten!! :)

Get those comic book boards and wrap your fabric on the back of your couch. My couch is out in the middle of the floor so I can stretch the fabric on top of the back and wrap away easily while I watch TV. Wish you were in Conway, AR......I'd be over!

15 minutes at a time will get you done before you know it. Also, you will find treasures in there, I promise! like shopping in a store where you love every single thing you see :-)

If you lived closer, I'd be glad to give you a hand . . . really!

Bring in your laundry baskets and fill them with fabric. That will clear your nice long counter for the marathon. Take one piece off the top of the pile and smooth it out nicely on the counter. If it is still folded (selvages together) than fold it once more down lengthwise to get it to 11 inches. Lay your comic book cardboard at one end and start flipping it over until it is all on. Place your cute little mini bolt on the shelf. Proceed to the next piece until one laundry basket is empty or you run out of boards. Now take a break and come back later to do another basket. A job started, is a job half done!
