Glad to find this site and hope to talk to all of you avid quilters.

Oof! I sure understand. I spent the afternoon quilting and my entire body feels like it's been beaten up. I need an exhausted, lying in the ditch smilie to cover how I feel!

Beautiful labs Joan!

Hoolahoop - I tried the link but it said it was no longer available. :(

Tiffany maybe this is what Hoolahoop is making, I found this tut..Hope it helps you.

Yes, last winter the snow came and never went away. This is the latest I ever remember winter starting. I am between Jackson and Lansing, where are you? I really need to be at the sewing machine instead of the computer but I am addicted to this Board. I can't believe how much you have accomplished and have ready to mail out. Great going!!

Hi, Chele,
I'm in Winter Park and still have the AC on. This is ridiculous! I'm laying out a Yellow Brick Road that I cut wrong but have managed to reconfigure. Will sew that tomorrow at my LQS but today have to work on red PJ's for three grandkids.

We had some snow here too, but, currently I am nursing some bursitis in my shoulder, preventing me from sewing :(

I am in Taylor, Just south of Detroit..(exit 36 off I-75,lol)
i got the blanket almost done!
i still need to add the back, and round out the corners..then up to the EMB place to have his name put on it.
I ended up using a fusable stablizer, cut it to 3" strips, i slightly overlapped the ends, and pressed them..sewed them with the paper still on, then tore it off when done..worked out brilliantly!
couse i have an accufeed on my janome, so that helps it all sew nicely too!
here are other pictures of the process:

Well we're still getting the white stuff here in Christmas!! So, I've worked on three more blocks to a victorian garden quilt, hot pads and potatoe bags for gifts, a holiday table runner (also a gift), did a two foot high pile of mending (WOW had that been there a while!)and the first block of a mystery quilt the guild is doing for this coming year.

Right now, I'm busy making a dozen folded star trivets to give my coworkers. I found the free pattern/tutorial on Jennifer Kiera-Oona's blog: (http://bronzewombat.blogspot.com/200...patchwork.html). They have been fun to make, but take a lot of fabric. I have 4 done and 8 more to go.

The URL works if you cut and paste it into a new window instead of clicking on it from this Board. Dunno why. At any rate, I've posted her tutorial in the Tutorials section as a .pdf. I hope that's ok. I couldn't see that it was copyrighted.

Mending?! you do mending too?! You go girl!
I once saw a tag line/signature that said:

"Asking me to mend, would be like asking Picaso to paint the garage" too funny!
