Count me in please, and I am ready to start as soon as I pick up the last of the xmas debris.

peaceandjoy 12-27-2010 06:44 AM

Although I probably won't be using Christmas fabrics, I'm up for doing a Christmas project each month - more along the lines of getting a gift done each month.

If tutes are included, I may or may not use them. I just need the motivation to get something done!

Chrys 12-27-2010 06:45 AM

I'm going to be doing that myself.

nana bev 12-27-2010 06:57 AM

Sounds great .... I always end up with way too much terrific holiday fabric that goes into a large box (or two) waiting for "next" year, or the year after that & so on!
AND I love other people's ideas.

Jerre 12-27-2010 07:13 AM

You gals think the way I think, seems I never do have time to do all the Christmas projects I want to do but this way we could get at least 12 done. LOL

shamrock 12-27-2010 07:16 AM

I have a seperate plastic bin for Christmas material, and of course MANY patterns I like. I also like to put my own kits together so that when I'm ready, I don't have to search for things. So today I was planning on straightening up my room, and I shall organize some of my stash and patterns so that I'll be ready to go.

I have been wanting to make these napkins. I think that might be a great group project some month.

Sounds like fun...I already started one Christmas project for myself...so count me in.

Where can I get the pattern for the round napkins? They sound cute!

I am sure there are other sites on line, but these are a start. I have also seen them made with a half circle- a big fabric saver and same effect.

Thanks so much!

KathyKat 12-27-2010 08:03 AM

Yes, I'd be glad to sew along with you doing a christmas project every month. I bought tons of beautiful Christmas fabric this year and never had time to use any of it. We can also use any fabric we want to make presents for Christmas. I'd really like to get going so I can enjoy the Christmas season next year and not be sewing my fingers to the bone up until the last minute.

SewExtremeSeams 12-27-2010 08:06 AM

Yes, I would like to join this group.

Do we start at the beginning of the month and our deadline is the last day of the month? I may be the only one who needs a deadline!!! LOL

JONIE 12-27-2010 08:08 AM

let me know when we start and on what.

IBQLTN 12-27-2010 08:16 AM

I'll try and give it a go ... I didn't do so well with the 15 minutes a day challenge:(

krob 12-27-2010 09:01 AM

Sounds good to me!!!I have 5 baskets for M-F that I keep different projects in and work on them on that day of the week---been thinking about making 1 of those days a Christmas Project day!

I like this idea....then I don't spend the month deciding what??? to make.

Bungie 12-27-2010 09:08 AM

Count me in, I have UFPs to finish and odds and ends of Christmas fabrics.

Patched 12-27-2010 09:14 AM

If anyone needs some inspiration I just watched a slide show of things that riversong has done. You will have enough projects to last for 2 or 3 years. Not sure how to tell you where it is located, maybe do a search on the quilting board site. She has lots of fantastic projects.

K, I like your idea of the baskets. I think I might try this. Have you done this for a while?

vickiebouten 12-27-2010 09:31 AM

I have been hit with that project too! When we went though the Christmas boxes looking for the stockings and tree skirts and seeing that they were in a pretty sorry state candy was left in the kids and that was just gross and the fact that my daughter has a new husband we decided well my daughter decided it was high time for mom to make new ones!
So I would love to join in! A stocking a month, tree skirt and table runner. But since I'm doing them I pick out how I want the tree skirt and table runner to look like! Sorry daughter of mine! Old fashioned wins out!
This should be fun. Just hope I can pull it off, you know how busy life gets!

Abby'smom 12-27-2010 09:33 AM

sounds good, but ....

Love this idea, it may actually work for me.

MeMeX8 12-27-2010 09:47 AM

The idea of actually being accountable to someone to get a project done each month sounds intriguing to me. Please count me in.

Grace Amidon 12-27-2010 09:48 AM

Hi,What a great idea, not sure I could keep up but it would be fun to try.Your picture on the site is beautiful,I just love it.Let me know what you are planning by Private message as I just can noy get on live chat anymore? I have slow dial up here in VT. ,it is so slowwww.Amazing Grace

adrianlee 12-27-2010 10:00 AM

This is a great idea and I'd would like to try it. Maybe less manic come November and part of December. Actually have a bunch of things done. Like Grace A, I have dial up too and some days it is like a snail running up hill. Neat thing about this monthly project is there might be new craft ideas to share and do.

sistahdebbra 12-27-2010 10:00 AM

I wanna join - do I just jump in - we start in January 2011 right?, not far away - gotta go get some sell fabrics, so I'll have enough. I see a tree skirt for me, runners for siblings, wall hanger for DD and ..........

Luv Quilts and Cats 12-27-2010 10:02 AM

Sounds like a wonderful idea. Doing something each month makes it less of a big project.

Donnasue 12-27-2010 10:06 AM

I would love to!! I have a ton of Christmas fabric that I have no idea what to do with.

JudyMN 12-27-2010 10:55 AM
