I was told you can use a chenille pipe cleaner to clean.

I just cleaned my machine this weekend and it had a lot of dust bunnies. I just use a cheap craft brush, it works well, all you want to do is get the dust bunnies to cling to it, I also use a pair of tweasers to reach the hard to get at places.

I use sumi brushes. I find them at the art supply store, and they are used in Japanese and Chinese calligraphy painting. They are a very soft natural hair brushes that will get into the smallest places, the lint just naturally wants to stick to the hair and can be cleaned by just pulling the lint off with your fingers. I also use them to clean my keyboard.

In the classes that came with my machine, I learned just how far to take her apart, what and where to clean. Was told that canned air is OK IF it is directed AWAY FROM the motor. I still don't like to use it. I use anything from soft brush, soft (lint-free) cloth, Q-tip, tweezers...to clean. One of these days, I'll order the vacuum attachment.

My dealer in Lancaster Ohio will send you a brush. Go to [email protected] Tell them that Dink referred you to them. They will be glad to help you. I have a 730 and a 830. I love my machines. You can also use air only in the foot and bobbin area.

I bought long q-tips and I shared with my quilt group. You can add ol to the tip and it catches the linr bunnies. I always clean with a soft brush everytime that I change the bobbin.

I use a pipe cleaner, and sometimes vacuum. The dust really clings to the pipe cleaner!

a childs paint brush will do the same job and has a longer handle. the cheep kind for water color. I use one all the time. never, never blow dust back into the machine. It can compact and cause the machine to freeze up and burn up the motor.

I use canned air, but only on the outside of the machine, not the inside; i.e. lint that gathers on the needle or shaft, top of the machine, etc.
I use a long handled paintbrush usually. |
