Maybe on here they shouldn't call it a tip page. It should be the dirty little secret page. The longer I hang out with quilters the more I learn those secrets. Even long arm quilters have tricks to fix problems. Most of the time the secrets work. If you ever have a problem just post it and you will find out others have had the same problem and found a solution. Isn't the web great!!! We would have never learned all these tricks.

You do use needle and thread after the glue stick, right?

Is There a Quilter's oath? I knew there was a Quilter's Pox...It is the only disease it is ok to share and we do it with such grace. Oh Yes, there is an attitude that goes there.

I had always heard that if you couldn't see the mistake from a galloping horse at 3/4 of a mile, not to worry about it. Was that wrong??

I like the galloping horse. I stand back and look at my work without my glasses, knowing where the problem is, and if I can't see it, I just figure no one else will either.......See I count on yall needing glasses too.

What are you people talking about? There are no secrets--just "designer additions and adjustments"...have no idea what else anyone could be talking about...

My SIL (who doesn't sew anything) saw my quilt room and said "no wonder your quilts look good, look at all the tricks you have to make them straight!) I thought my rulers, templates and rotary cutters were necessities - not tricks. Who knew!
