Most Wal-Marts carry this during hunting seasons. As the seasons vary from area to area, I don't know if they would have it in stock now. In the future, can you order it on line?

It's not that I'm going waaaaaay out of my way to look for freezer paper, but where I live, it is no where to be found! When I'm out & about, I check for it in stores where I think I might find it. Gee whiz, is it really that hard to find? I thought I might give it a whirl since, (obviously because I don't currently own any!), I've never tried it.
I will be heading over to the USA next Thursday, so I will definitely scope out some stores for it, so if anyone has the "inside scoop" exactly where, do let me know! Maureen |

I personally think most freezer paper is purchased by quilters as opposed to people wanting to use it for wrapping food to be frozen.........glad to know we are keeping a collateral business in the black.......

I was told it was in the canning area of the stores. My LQS gave me the end of the box piece she had:) Such a sweetie.

It's hard to find here in Australia too, $18 a box from my LQS ouch :( I was hoping Costco would carry it, but unfortunately not.

Maybe it's called "butcher paper" in some areas? If you can't find it in your local grocery stores, maybe ask your butcher if you can purchase some from him.

If you have a "great Canadian wholesale store" that is where I buy it. I think it is Reynolds and is in a blue box.

At my monthly meeting at our LQS we are doing an applique quilt. Freezer paper was discussed and our teacher said she had heard that they are going to stop making freezer paper. Of course I went out and bought six boxes. Now I don't use it because I use back basting as my method of applique. If someone needs some, email me.

For the Canadians ... here's links to Home Hardware.
Your local HH can order it in for you, and have it in the store within a few days. While I haven't ordered these products, there's never been a minimum order requirement and they have gladly ordered just one, if it's not a standard item on their shelves.
