It's a wonderful quilt. I'm sure your GG would be very pleased. It's a wonderful tribute to her.

What a joy to share with your Granny, with every stitch she is with you.

This is a true treasure, what a beautiful quilt ! I was given my great grandmother's quilt in the 1970's. The odd thing about it was I never heard my mother say that grgrandma was a quilter.

A wonderful gift and your layout is so pretty. Can't wait to see the entire top. Beautiful.

Ohmigosh, what a treasure! And Lemoyne Stars - Lord have mercy! Those are so tricky - she really had a good eye, didn't she? :) I know you must be over the moon to have this gift and I hope you enjoy it for many, many years.
I think I would use a layer or two of pre-shrunk flannel for the batting instead of the usual batt - a woven would support the aging fabric and make your whole quilt stronger. |
Wow this is going to ba a beautiful quilt. It looks great right now. Enjoy!

That is great! We quilt lovers are a special breed! Appreciators of the old and creators of the new. Nice that you finished that quilt.
