only on baby or charity quilts. made a bunch of Yellow Brick Road. and split 9 patches. Oh, yea, stack n wack, love it. most others, nope.

For charity quilts I tend to use a rotation of the same quick and easy patterns patterns but with different fabric combinations. Otherwise for gift giving and for my own use I either go with a new pattern that I have never tried before or I design something myself.

When I get a new pattern, I like to make at least two quilts with it so I can mentally "own" the pattern. Doing it more than once helps me cement it in my brain.

I use the same pattern but different fabric's and different sizes. My favorite pattern is the Log Cabin. So many ways to lay it out. Always surprising how it looks. Love it.

I have made the wedding ring block (with the 25 squares in a block forming the 'ring' in the center) three times, Two for 25th anniversary and one for a wedding. Used their wedding colors and all looked different. Also made the Yellow Brick Road pattern twice, one for my mother's 90th b'day, looked like old patchwork quilt, and used juvenile prints for a DGS. I truly like the YBR pattern.

Each one is a unique creation designed specifically for the recipient!

I've made some smaller projects twice (Christmas stockings) but never anything bigger. I find it interesting how different the same project can look with different fabrics, but there are so many new things I want to try that I just never have gotten around to replicating anything.

I've made several Hunter's Star and several D9P, but with different color combinations. Mostly for gifting.

I'm making another like the one in my avitar only in blues and lavenders.

Only because we got twin grandchildren.
