Intermediate if you are talking about piecing, but when it comes to quilting I consider myself a beginner.

I always call myself an advanced beginner. I can make several "styles" but I don't seem to get any better in quality. Don't really care too much.

I am an un-experienced quilter. In other words I really don't know what I am doing most of the time. I have only been trying to learn to quilt for about 2 years. A friend
showed me how to hand stitch a quilt top my grandmother made . I finished it in one year. But since I have made very plain small quilts. (I am learning how to quilt through this site and just trying things on my own.) I also sew quilts together on the sewing machine. I don't know if I will ever do another by hand. |
I love the fact,no matter where you are, you ALWAYS learn. Whether it be large or small.

Just a tad above beginner.......

I like valsma's mention that she is in it for herself. I feel that the point for quilting for me is that I enjoy doing and learning the techniques. I'm a beginner below beginner in FMQ. Don't seem to have the patience for getting it right. I can piece really good now that I have a 1/4 inch foot for my sewing machine. Before that my machine sewed all over the place!! :)
