This is a problem? I LOVE going shopping at home in MY stash when the weather outside is bad. Great time for sewing!

Personally, I don't think there is anything wrong with you. I think we all feel this way

I think it goes along with the hobby. I'm an avid gardener, so when springtime comes along, I will be in the nurseries acquiring more plants I don't need, but it makes my soul smile. The same with fabric shopping. I will spend hours online looking at the different colors and patterns even if I don't have a dime to spend! When I go into hobby lobby or joanns I always check the remnant bins first. I've found some good deals in there. Haven't sewn anything with what I found yet, but one day those fabrics will end up in something that will make someone else happy too.

get your self some mouse traps and set them on the table
This worked for my hubby as our cat would do the same thing. Rember to set the traps it will not take long to break the habit

There's nothing wrong with you. It's part of our unique personality to want/need more of the thing that makes us happy. Then we cut it into pieces and sew it back together to create a work of art.

Another thought - if you call all that fabric your "Collection" it immediately falls into a category that includes things like pieces of art work, crystal, antique dishes, silver, gold, etc. and absolutely no one expects you to do anything with your collection but enjoy it. Of course, now that you have it all laid out you might want to consider offering tours (at a minimal price of course) so others could enjoy your collection as well. You know, just a thought..:)

Glad to hear someone else has 15 totes full of fabric. Guess I'm not alone after all!

I think it's called a "Fabricholic". My baby sister even got me a bumper sticker that says it. She knows me only too well... :-)
