I like like your oops best, and I agree the first thing I thought of was the ocean and waves. Storm at sea suits it well.

Wow, I don't think it's a mistake, it's a new design  - I love the title suggestions of Cross Current and Rip Tide - they both connotate strong water movement, which your design certainly contains. If you decide to make it, please be sure to share it with us!
Sorry, not new at all. Google STORM AT SEA adn check a few sites. You'll find both under the same name. |
I'd have to call the "wrong" one pretty! :) In fact, I like it better than the right one lol!

I like the correct one. The first one, to me, is too busy. I remember going fishing on Lake Mille Lacs in Minnesota and there would be waves (humongous lake) and one would just rock and fish and rock and fish and it was comforting. That's how the second quilt feels to me - it is comforting, just rocking --

what would I call it? beautiful!
I like the Hurricane Brewing one best (probably misspelled)
How about Capsized at Sea? Like others above, I think I like your "wrong" variation even better than the "right" one!
I would put your way on my bucket list got a pattern
I think the "wrong" one is just an beautiful as the "right" one.
I like the wrong one. The center just pops...
I would call it "Riding the Waves." Nice design!!! Love them both.
Double Waves
I don't know what I call "the mistake". But I sure can say that I like it a lot & if you make it please post a picture.
Youknow, I'm voting for #1' too!
I totally love the "wrong" one. Think that would make a much neater pattern in a quilt.
I see what you did. I really like it, it makes the storm even stormier. However, it also is going to be harder to keep it straight.
Creative artistic differences :)
I think you have good names already posted but I would call the incident "Divine Intervention". Your first version is ver visually appealing. Would you consider sharing the pattern?
I like the mistake, it really looks like a Storm at Sea joyce j
You could call your "mistake" Stormy Waves!!
I like the extra yellow in your version. It makes me think of sunlight playing on the water after the storm starts to subside. How about "The Storm is Over" or "The Storm is Ending"? Beautiful!
I can see how easy it was to make this error. The correct one is a better pattern. Looks to complicated for me.
Good luck, happy quilting. |
I'd call in inspirational!
I also like the mistake, it has motion. Joy
I would call it Quilter's License, like poet's license.
I really like the "mistake'. How about "'rough seas ahead"?
I love it!! The mistake is my favorite too. Looks like Aurora Borealis (sp?) So pretty!! Wish I could get it as a pattern. :)
Cheers! Rachel |
How about "Boats in a Row"? Can almost feel the waves - lots of movement there!
Call it "Double Trouble"?
Thanks for sharing. We printed out the new version for consideration. I like it!
I like the wrong one and there are no mistakes in art
"Turbulent Storm at Sea" would be a good name for it. I just love your "mistake". It has sooooo much more movement in it. Whatever you name it.....I'm bookmarking it!
I like the variation a lot as well. Sortof makes the second one boring!
I am with the others, I like the wrong one!
How about "Stormy Echoes"
