I listen to John denver and @ present is Zeus & RoxAnne
I love to listen to audio books as well. I can be sewing along and get tickled at something I'm listening to, and DH will stick his head in to see if I've lost my mind !! LOL
Mostly Pink Floyd, a little hard rock from the 80's and country, and even enya. I hae a very diversified taste in music and anything goes while quilting. I also listen to a lot of talk radio. My Bose actually sits on my upstairs sewing desk.
No radio. Just throw open the doors and windows and love to hear the sounds of the world....many different cheery little bird calls, an occasional dog barking, trucks on their way to deliver supplies somewhere, cars and boats traveling up the road to the lake......even love the sound of the fan humming and the sewing machine purring.

I have a very eclectic mix on my computer: Christian, folk, Broadway, etc...so I bounce around alot. Mostly when I am sewing I either have the TV or a movie on.

Hi, Happy Fourth of July to you all.
I don't listen to anything. Does listening to music help you sew better? If it does maybe I'll try it. I need to focus all my atttention on what I am doing. BrendaK |
Usually anything from 50's to 80's, but also mix with easy listening, classical, and some country. It really depends on the mood I am in and what I want to get accomplished.
My husband has a collection of old country music stars and their music. I enjoy these from time to time.
King George Strait!!
Also like oldies |
Never think to turn anything on. Always caught up with project, and I love peace and quiet.
From country to Elvis, to Yanni just depends on my mood. Sometimes just the noise from outside will do. I enjoy hearing the birds chatter.
Classical music on radio or computer.
Educational on TV but if I'm learning something new I might get caught up in the show. |

Country music, new, old, radio, cds anything by Alabama, Statler Brothers, Oak Ridge Boys, Garth, George Strait, and Dottie West to name a few.
dh always had 660 KEYZ on so it is old time country music with some newer on it once in a while. It is just background because I'm not paying attention.
I go to the library and check out audio books and thats what I listen to in my sewing room and in my car when I go to work, I can listen to two books a week on a good week it might be three.
Bon Jovi ... over and over!
Love Smooth Jazz with Herbie Mann as my top favorite. Anything country, western or bluegrass has me climbing the walls with their twangy-ness. They make for a short sewing session where I can listen to Jazz all day long and feel GOOOOd!
My iPod is the best gift I ever received for quilting. I like Zac Brown, his "Sic 'em On A Chicken" keeps my toes tapping. Also the oldies from Chicago, Moody Blues, Fleetwood Mac mixed with some Sarah MacLaughlan.
Opera- sometimes I'll put in a dvd and glance at the video to watch key scenes. Primarily Puccini and Verdi but some days I am in the mood for Carmen (Bizet). Glad to see someone else in the forum listens to opera!

I usually listen to a local online radio station. Every 15 minutes you click on the page and it gives you points. You can trade in your points to win prizes. I haven't won anything yet, but... you never know.
It's also a go way to make you get up every now an again so you don't get stiff. (Having some back issues lately and that's because I didn't get up.) |
I listen to classic country on Internet radio mostly.
While hand quilting, if there is nothing good on tv, I will listen to 50's music from my LPs. I have a stereo with a turn table in the quilting room as well as a tv. I have lots of oldies-but-goodies LPs. When sewing I will watch tv, cooking shows or something. Happy 4th...Mary
I watch HGTV
I love classical music and the golden oldies. Fortunately Norman, OK has a classical music radio station and oldies station nearby. I've just started to listen to audio books and look forward to doing more of that.
