What do you like to listen to while you are sewing? I like Doris Day,Christian music and some others too. Give specifics, curious minds would like to know;)

Treasureit 07-02-2011 05:07 AM

I have my Bose radio right above my head on a shelf and listen to Christian contemporary music. Sometimes I use my Ipod and pump it right into my head! Said the 62 year old. lol

I plug in the ipod and listen to a wide variety of music, depending on my mood for the day. It could be Yanni, or clear to the other extreme and be Led Zeppelin, or maybe George Strait. Just never know until I plug it in. LOL

Bonbonary 07-02-2011 05:18 AM

My favorite thing to listen to is an audio book. It keeps me sewing longer because I don't want to miss the next chapter.

blueangel 07-02-2011 05:23 AM

I listen to country.

sunni 07-02-2011 05:26 AM

Sometimes Country, sometimes good ole' 80's Rock! Sometimes some newer music, just depends on my mood.

The five cds in my stereo right now are Fleetwood Mac - Rumours, Creedence Clearwater Revival - Chronical vol 1, Moody Blues - Every Good Boy Deserves Favor, Eagles - Greatest Hits and one of seventies hits. They're about due to be changed out though.

nycquilter 07-02-2011 06:28 AM

put the iPod on scramble and listen to whatever is playing. my taste ranges from classic rock, jazz, bluegrass, folk, etc.

momcpo 07-02-2011 06:30 AM

I'm into the audio books also. You can't go wrong with a good Janet Evanovitch, she'll keep you on your toes.

kathyd 07-02-2011 06:34 AM

Anything from rock to 70's oldies to country. When the Ipod is picking it might even be Christmas in July! I just need it in the background even when the window is open and I can hear the birds outside.

I love the audio books or when it comes to music it came be anything from Yanni to the golden oldies. Right now I'm into the Platters or Conway Twitty.

jillnjo 07-02-2011 06:36 AM

I enjoy audio books and Christian music. I like hymns played in a variety of ways and instrumental, too. Right now I am listening to old favorite hymns played on a pipe organ.

littlehud 07-02-2011 07:08 AM

I bring up Pandora on my computer and listen to old rock or country.

QuiltnNan 07-02-2011 07:39 AM

i listen to HGTV. i've seen most of the episodes, so i don't have to look very often :)

Mariposa 07-02-2011 07:42 AM

I listen to Christian music.

frugalfabrics 07-02-2011 07:45 AM

I like all kinds of music from Christian,Classical and Country to Rock, Rap and Tejano.

I always need music going to keep me moving whether it's at work or at my sewing machine.

Karen's Kreations 07-02-2011 07:47 AM

My music taste is very eclectic - I have everything on my iPod. I listen to classical, country, oldies rock & roll, alternative - you get the picture. Sometimes I choose one type of music, othertimes I just select 'songs' and I get some of everything.

valsma 07-02-2011 07:48 AM

I listen to an oldies station (30's-80's) out of Stayton, OR. most of the time. During the day if i'm in the sewing room around noon I listent to a Lar Larsen. He's a coservative talk radio host. He also has a national show that I like to listen to if I catch it on.

Flying_V_Goddess 07-02-2011 07:53 AM

A good percentage of the music I'd listen to while sewing/designing quilts would fall into the Metal or Rock category. But sometimes I can't listen to music because I end up jamming to it and don't get anything done. So part of the time I watch episodes of Gundam Wing.

hevemi 07-02-2011 07:55 AM

Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughan. Guitar Blues. I always turn on a blues radio station when I start sewing. CCR and 70's & 80's rock sometimes.

RkayD 07-02-2011 07:58 AM

I download Old Time Radio podcasts and pop in my head phones. I can get alot done while getting lost in the stories. Everything from Escape Sherlock Holmes Johnny Dollar to Gunsmoke and many many more. Best part is..they are all free to download.

MonnaL 07-02-2011 08:18 AM

I love all kinds of music...but especially classic rock and roll, pop and celtic. Loreena McKinnett is my go-to music when I want to be inspired and grounded. She has the voice of an angel.

nyelphaba, You must be a Wicked Fan. My daughter saw that show 14 times. I think I saw it about 9 times. Great musical!

I love the Six shooter with Jimmy Stewart and Pat Novak for Hire.
What she said but if I'm using my sirius radio it's on Radio Classics or the Nascar channel.
FMQ requires music. I like the Big Band music from the '40's, blues, and heavy metal.

susie-susie-susie 07-02-2011 10:38 AM

Country all the way, especially the old ones.

Yanni, and oldies but goodies. Mostley Yannie on my MP3. I have all his CD's he has ever done. Took me months and months to find them all on E-Bay.

Pam H 07-02-2011 10:46 AM

I recently got a TV for my sewing room. My husband hooked up a dvr player so I can watch my recorded shows. Lately it has been America's Next Top Model marathons. My first choice in music is Alternative.

QuiltinginSD 07-02-2011 10:54 AM

I listen to our local Christian radio station or Christmas cd's with the occasional Michael Buble mixed in.

ThayerRags 07-02-2011 11:20 AM

Whatever's on the local radio station...
