Like you, we live 90 miles from the nearest JoAnns and I made it there as well. But next year I'm getting a room up there so I can get some sleep!

Ahhhhhhhhhhh the ol debate, to wash or not wash. At one point I was washing, then I read others who waits until after the quilt is completed, so I don't prewash. Now with all of this fabric, I don't know.
My first rag quilt I made, I ddn't prewash, but after reading info on the washing, I prewashed for my second quilt. Now on my 3rd quilt, I didn't prewash, as I was back to reading about those who do not. Oh boy, I'm so confused! lol |
What a shopping spree - did you leave any on the shelves? LOL That should keep you out of trouble in 2012!

When you pre-wash, cut the corners to control the raveling in the washer, I was really surprised at how well that works~

Looks like you got some nice flannel there. Have fun making your rag quilts...........you've got enough fabric to make many, many, many of them. You really scored on that deal!!

WOW - congratulations on your stamina to face the crowds after driving 90 miles, and you did save a great deal of money. Looking forward to seeing all those quilts when you make them.
