About 10 years for me.

I started sewing clothes for my children 46 yrs ago. I made a baby puff quilt for grandson 8 years ago. Have only sewn for myself since then, I now have 3 grad daughters and a reason to sew again. Have another puff quilt started and just finished a rag quilt and 3 pillows for me.Now I back into sewing dresses and quilts for them--LOL

Over twenty years. But, didn't get so crazy about in till coming here.

I have been quilting for only 6 yrs. I am 70 now so I got a late start. I was retired before I became interested.
