I bought a pkg at Hobby Lobby on sale for $3.95, not a sale actually a clearance price. Worth checking around for the best price. I love these.

The don't get tangled left open! DGD pinned about a hundred on a tee shirt making a pattern with the colors for spirit day at school. She won most creative during spirit day. The sure make safety pins easier to use.

I store mine in a tin can with a lid. I buy the bent ones that are easier for pinning and basting. I leave them open, so that your not constantly having to open them and close them.

I store mine open in a plastic butter tub. When I go to pin my quilt, I take a pinch of pins and scatter them on top of the quilt. It saves a lot of time by not closing and opening them all the time.

I store mine in nut cans or tins open.

This is how I store mine .... always closed .... in a stacking container purchased just for that purpose.

I use a frosting container covered with fabric to store my open safety pins. Too much hassle to reopen them when pin basting a quilt.

I store them open in a round tin. When I am ready to use them, I pick up and bunch and shake them, they loosen up and all the singles fall out. I have never had a problem getting this to work; no digging out pins, etc. They just fall out when shaken.

Exactly what I do. Haven't injured myself yet.

I store my safety pins closed in a cool whip container. :)
