You will never believe what I thought that button was for.I thought it ws for handicapped people who did not have use of there legs.Yes,I am a nurse so it made sense to me.

I love it. Wish all my machines had this. When my feet bother me this is the answer.

If I use my start button I can stop it by hitting my foot pedal also...don't have to hit the stop button

The start stop button is there for mostly embroidery part of the machine.
Or the stop for the ending of a set of fancy stitches. Or I have used it for patching with the auto patch... |
Tried it, but like pedal better.

Love to have the control with the foot pedal..I sew either barefoot or with socks (depending on season) and have no problem.
