I have am allergic to many battings and therefore I bind my quilt before I quilt it.

This is my theory also and I am sticking to it!!!

I use whatever fabric I like, not necessarily all from LQS. If Walmart has something pretty.......and nice......I use it. No one that I give my quilts to cares a hoot about where the fabric comes from. And I hope they use it until it falls apart. That's why I make quilts, I can close the door to the police!

The first two can be a wonderful way to be in certain cases.

Now that I no longer work or am sending kids to school, I am usually blissfully quilting and not even aware it is Labor Day. lol
