lavonneve 10-04-2011 04:23 AM

I have a Brother QC 1000 that i really love. Not the place I got it though. I also have a featherweight. Looking for a white one.

Judi in Ohio 10-04-2011 04:31 AM

I really got into vintage for a while and bought a bunch of featherweights to paint. I've got 3 left, one in excellent condition, the other two would be great to paint, note to self, paint those puppies or sell them! I have my deceased mil - 60 years gone - 15-90 Singer, 1 Singer 301, Singer 201 - which I consider to have the most gorgeous straight stitch ever! and an old Necchi that was one of the first zigzag - they had the wonder wheel. I have a treadle that is in remarkable shape in my entry way, it's so pretty. My modern machines are 2 Juki's, my workhorses, a 98 & a F-600, 5 needle 735 Juki serger and Janome cover stitch machine, and my bad boy a Babylock Entrepeanor 10 needle. I lover sewing machines, but I really need to cut down, lol

You guys are some serious sewers! I only have one machine which I bought early this year. It's a Babylock Melody and I love it. But I'm thinking of buying a serger and an embroidery machine.

Stitcher317 10-04-2011 05:17 AM

I currently have a Bernina 635, Baby Lock Ellisimo, Baby Lock Imagine Serger and Baby Lock Symphony....In the past I have owned a Bernina 930,180, 200 and 730...and I've loved them all..Switched to Baby Lock because of my fantastic dealer in Fla but remain a dedicated Bernina fan as well and love my dealer here in PA...they are just so far from me! 1.5 hrs is a bit too far for regular classes but they truly are the finest people and have a terrific store.

KimS 10-04-2011 05:37 AM

I have a Janome 3000 and the Singer Grandma had. I love my Janome 3000! The Singer sews beautifully and holds a lot of memories knowing Grandma sat at it and made so many things. The cabinet is gorgeous and would like to have a place to display it but just don't have the room. In fact I even named her Margaret since that's Grandma's name. :-)

mhansen6 10-04-2011 05:46 AM

1986 White serger, threaded with dark thread (a workhorse)
1994 Babylock serger, threaded with light thread
1992 Singer Electronic 9143, 140th Anniversary (for traveling)
Viking Sapphire 850 for decorative stitching
Juki TL98E (another workhorse) for piecing and fmq
And a beautiful 1956 Morse 600 which I have just acquired for a great price of FREE (presently in for maintenance check) Don't know much about it yet, the belt was dry rotted and the cord was cracked.
All my machines are set up and used regularly.

3 Janome machines.

quiltntoday 10-04-2011 06:26 AM

Gosh everyone has lots of machines and so do I. My main machine is a Pfaff 2056 and then I have a Viking serger, New Home Memory Craft 4000, hand crank Singer, treadle Singer and my newest purchase, a lovely 1948 Singer Featherweight.

I recently took a FW Cleaning and Repair class at a quilt retreat and learned this machine has lots of places to oil! Simply oil everything that moves!

Tawny 10-04-2011 06:31 AM

I only have one :( I have inherited a Toyota EC1 2440 which runs like an absolute dream, I think it is about 25-30 years old. I have oiled it up and it is fab! I have just bought the patchwork kit for it so I will have a 1/4 inch foot and a walking foot that will work on it. I was dreaming of having a new machine but there is something very reassuring about its metal heaviness if you see what I mean.

janny40 10-04-2011 06:38 AM

I have a Bernina 1530 which I use most, Brother PC8200 PACESETTER, VIKING #1+, HEAVY DUTY SAILRITE ULTRAFEED ZIGZAG, VIKING HUSKYLOCK SERGER, and an old singer that sets up in the closet my first sewing machine 1962 model-brand new when I bought it. That's my collection. I tell the dealers I don't need anymore sewing machines. They are way overpriced. Oh I almost forgot I just bought a Bailey's quilting machine (15 inch longarm) and a machine quilting machine frame. Do you think that is enough??

Mariposa 10-04-2011 06:40 AM

I have a Pfaff 7510, a '47 Featherweight, a two-tone 301A, a 15-125, and an HQ16. :)
Wish I had a treadle, and a 99!!

Caswews 10-04-2011 06:45 AM
