I have a Bernina 707, Bernina 165e, Janome 6600p, and my new Bernina 820 series 8. I use them all.
Oh my gosh!!! I can't believe how all of you have more than one sewing machine. You can tell I am new to quilting because I only have one machine: Baby Lock (Elizabeth).
I have a Baby Lock which I love. I gave my previous machine, a Janome, to my daughter.
I have 4 and use them all.
I have 2 Berninas, 3 Singers, 3 Featherweights,a Kenmore and 1 Brother. Guess I just need to add a Janome and a Phaff to the list.:)
I have too many-- my beloved almost 40 year old Bernina 830, a newer Bernina 440QE with embroidery, 2 Singer treadles in the process of restoration, a Singer 99, a small old Bernina 820? (not sure of the number), a Singer slanted head, 4 Featherweights and last but not least a Tin Lizzie 18LS. My goodness I am blessed.

I have the Janome Horizon 7700, Janome 3050 , White machine made in the 1950, Brother machine in the 1960, Janome Serger , old Serger and yes i have used them for all diff things but my main machine is my 7700 i use .
I have a Baby Lock Quilter's Choice, which I love, and am saving for a Baby Lock Symphony. Also, a 1949 black Singer, for show only although it does work.
I have a Singer FW, A Singer "Red Eye" treadle, A 1962 Singer Touch and Sew, A brother sewing/embroidery machine, and a Euro-Pro computerized, plus a serger.

I also have a Super Lock White 1986 serger which I love, especially the chain stitch feature. I bought a Simplicity Frontier a couple years ago just for the differential feed but rarely use it. The old White out performs it. I have a Singer, old one,I use occasionally and Brother Runway. Excellent machine.
OOOPS and I have a Brother SQ that I bought to take to classes.
I have a Shark (don't recommend those); a Brother and a Janome. I also have an older Kenmore someone gave me; however, as of last week:
I HAVE A FEATHERWEIGHT!!! She was born in 1951 and is all mine! |
I have my grandmother's 1920's Singer treadle, a Singer handi sew my grandfather gave me 53 years ago, a computerized Kenmore, a Brother SE -400 embroidery machine, a Janome 6600p (the one I use everyday and love!) and a newly acquired HQ Sweet Sixteen sit-down quilter.

I have also rehabbed and given away about 10 others and I have only been doing this about 4 years! I think I should quit while I'm ahead, but I still want a Singer 201, 301 and a 66 redeye! Pat |
I have a FW 221, FW 222, a Pfaff 2056, and an Innova LA 26"/LS (stitch regulator) on a 12 foot frame.
I have 3 Brother machines, a Xl5130 (manual), a VX110 (manual), and an Innovis NX 650Q, (computerized).
Designer SE and Janomve Horizon!
I hace only one, a 26 yr.old Viking Husqvarna 980 that has never failed me. But now that I am interested in FMQ, I am looking at a Janome Horizon 7700 or a Juki.
I have a 20 year old kenmore, Bernia Aurora 440, a 1956 Featherweight Viking Serger and a Brother (light weight). I love them all.
At a recent quilt retreat, there were 14 ladies present, we asked the same question. Grand total, not including LA machines, we had 90. :):):):)
I have 3 Brothers
I had a Designer 1 from 2000 and used until I won the Designer Diamond when they introduced it at the convention in 2008. I use it to embroidery and piece quilts. I have a Juki TL-98E on a Hinterberg frame for quilting. I am debating on getting another machine with more neck space but want to keep Juki for heavy duty sewing. It sews great.
I have two Pfaff's and love them both. One is a old Pfaff 1475CD and I just bought it and yet to learn all the things it can do.
Oh I also have a Featherweight my mom gave me but haven't taken it out of the case. |
Bernina 180E and Singer Featherweight 301
Singer 301a. That's all I need!
For all intents and purposes, I have one machine that I use. A Bernina 1008 Mechanical that I have converted to treadle. I have 2 more in storage if that one gives up the ghost or if I can no longer get parts. I also have a 221k Featherweight that sits there and looks pretty, and a Singer 404 Straight stitch, that I never use. So. The answer is, Bernina 1008 Treadle for every type of sewing I do. I love it. Here is a link to a picture if you have not seen it.

I have a Bernina 150, 2 Featherweights, a Singer 99, Baby lock serger and a Gammill Classic Plus. I told DH that I would stop 'collecting' babies when we adopted our 3rd child. Then I moved on to animals: we have 4 dogs and a 19 yr old cat. Now I have moved on to sewing machines. How do I tell him that along with all the above, I just bought a treadle??!! They were asking $20 and I thought it was a typo. I ended up giving them $40. Its still in my car...I'm trying to figure out how to get it in the house while he is on a trip! I think I better move on to something else now!! rotlf!
I have a Janome 660, 1979 Kenmore machine, 1947 Singer machine and a Babylock Serger and a Jewel Long Arm.
I've got more than I need or use. Last count was 21, mostly 50's style, 5 treadles, 3 - singer redeyes, 1 - 15-91 centennial , two 15 clones, 201, 301, 404, 99, white 77, necchi, white jean machine, elgin and one brother.
I have a Bernina 830 (the old, old 830) and a Brother SQ9000. Neither has a large throat space but I can't bring myself to trade in my 830. So, I'll see how far I can go with them. There's absolutely NO space in our condo for a 3rd machine; in fact the Brother sits on top of my Bernina cabina. I got it to take to classes. It's only 10-11 lbs.
