My Huaband sometimes is worse than I, he is always trying to talk me into buying old singer machines I just love them, and fabric he thinks I need one of everthing some times he on his own goes to Joanns and buys sissors,or what ever he thinks I need [but I don't] and I just smile and say thanks and hint on things I really want but for the most part he is very supportive of my quilting and sewing.

My husband and I are soul mates we share everything we do and with great joy for the others talents. He just took up quilting and he is as bad as I am.
We have a great joy for life together and talk about everything. He is what every woman should have a Soul Mate.
We are married 44 years Raised 2 children owned a Bridal shop worked 90hrs a more a week. Lost money over bad deals, unemployment, bad health. you name it Death of our 1st grandchild. Kids by our side and still taking care of 2children spouses and 6 grandchildren and love every minuet of it. No distrust only happiness.I will wish you the same.

I have lots of stuff, but he has a helicoptor, an ultralight, tractor, hay shredder, hay baler, backhoe, bulldozer, one of those lifts on a truck that lifts you way up in the airfour wheeler, etc. So, he doesn't dare say anything about my hobby. Now that I have written this out, I think I need to go buy some fabric. Every Christmas he says he doesn't want anything for Christmas, but I get him something anyway. I got him a 200.00 gift card to the LQS. haha He gave me a 200.00 gift card to the same place. So I had 400.00 to spend!

My DH is deceased, but last week I moved my quilting room downstairs and my children saw how much fabric I have. But that's OK because I gave them my all while raising them, and now it is my turn!

My husband is my enabler! He went with me to discount store to buy big bins to store fabric-bought seven and he asked if that was enough. Once a 4 ft. black snake got into the house-and I finally, at the end of the day saw him lying in front of the LR window. That was the day I vac'd all of the baseboards and REALLY cleaned. But I did notice that the cat never got out of the sewing room window! DH just said that he probably came in when he was a wee little tyke and wandered around in my sewing room, got lost, and finally made it out when he was older! That day I'll never forget! Now I make sure the glass doors are secure before I leave the other doors open. :) This last weekend he bought a monarch treadle with cabinet and a coffin cover-he planned the trip to, did I mention Paducah!?!?

I always showed my husband what I bought. When He asked me why, I told him I wanted to share my pleasure with him. He gave me the best advice for spending money. Consider the useful life of what you're buying, paying for the best quality you can afford is a way to economize money.

I have too much to hide!!!

I have my own spending money to spend as I want. We both work. He pays the mortgage and utilities and I pay for my car and whatever else that I want. Computer, digital camera etc.

I work 39 hours a week and if I want to spend money on fabric or whatever than I can do that. While he probably doesn't know what all notions etc that I have I don't hide anything.

I have to say that I don't really have to hide anything from him. I usually pay for my own stuff and sometimes at Christmas my DH and 3DS give me a gift certificate for Joann's as we don't have a LQS within the immediate area.

My DH has no idea how much fabric costs. I've told him that prices have gone up but he forgets. I purchased some fabric yesterday from a LQS for a quilt class and spent $85. I told him I spent $45 because I had some mad money tucked into my wallet. He thought I spent too much. But then again he still thinks a dress shirt should cost $12 and a tie only $5. At 57 he's still living in the dark ages.
