What kind of bulbs does Ott use? The last incandescent light bulb factory in the US closed about two weeks ago. By 2012 all incandescent bulbs will not be sold in US. They just did that in Europe. People were buying as many incandescent bulbs as they could afford.

Flourescent lights?

This should be a fun topic to discuss!

NEVER use fluorescent lights if your fabric storage will be exposed, the ultra violet in the bulbs will fade fabrics over time. If you need good light to match fabrics, the best is still natural daylight from a window. I have a high intensity lamp, battery operated that I purchased for under $10. that I occasionally turn on if the day is overcast otherwise it is natural daylight and the built in sewing machine lights. :)

My ceiling lights are four long flourescent lights. I have an ott floor lamp next to my sewing table when I need more light!

I've used ott lights for the past 10 years or so. The colors are more true in that light but best of all it does help the seasonal disorder thing. hate that!

Ott lights. I bought the first one on sale from Nancy's Notions. The bulb burned out very soon after I bought it. I called and they sent a new bulb, no problem, and they didn't ask me to return the bad bulb. I've bought 2 more Ott lights when JoAnn's had 50% off sales. You can tell, I LOVE Ott lights!

I have two 4' double-fluorescent fixtures hanging over my sewing tables, as well as the regular ceiling light. My fabric is in cabinets that have doors on them, so it's not exposed to light.

I'm up all night due to DH's work schedule, so I need lots of light. My sewing room is just 9' square, so the two fluorescent lights are enough. The walls are a very light gold color, and the fabric cabinets are off-white, which make the room seem brighter. :)
