What a fun Christmas quilt! Very "I Spy!"
That's the kind of Christmas decor we generally like to have around here too, kind of homey and fun, not real "planned out."
I made a quilt something like that a few years ago, not quite as fun and random as that one, but I did enjoy making it.

Great for getting inspiration, admiring, drooling, . . . . :-D Anyone know how to get that set up?

Thanks! I made circles as if for yo-yos, but stuffed them as round balls to make the "berries." Each muslin square has 3 berries stitched onto the quilted holly leafs. Needless to say, I usually hang this quilt, or if it goes onto a bed, woe betide he who scrubs around on my berries!

I like "Can You Match" quilts made from scraps of various fabrics- especially theme fabrics. Most of them are made for Project Linus. I've downloaded two pictures to the "picture" site. Please check them out

Scrappy quilts are about my most favorite. I've made dozens and dozens and love my small little scraps as much as I do my huge yardage piles of fabric.

I love to make scrappy quilts and don't even need a pattern, I just look at a picture and make up my own design!

Not hard to see there are a lot of us who like to do the scrappy quilts. I do them when I want to do something that doesn't take much thought. As I look at my shelf of recent quilts, almost all of them would be "scrappy"! I like the way they just "grow" into whatever size you want with whatever bordering you decide to use.

Here is a picture of my first scrappy quilt and last one. The first one, was made in the 80's. It was one of the first quilts I made and didn't have a clue about what to do. My MIL gave me blocks that were very old. The center are 1" squares she pieced when pregnant with my DH (1937). The rest of the quilt is just odd blocks she gave me. I hand quilted it. The backing is muslin and I wrapped it around to from the binding. The quilt is very large, bc I wanted to use her blocks.
The second picture is called Church Windows. I finished it yesterday.
