What a neat idea! I would love to see a picture of the quilt you made!

Very small wall quilts or just a few blocks. My challenge was two fold. I am a "matchy-matchy girl" (in their terminology....everything has to match and coordinate). So I chose 42 four inch squares of the most ugliest fabrics ever created. Then did the drunkards path square...cutting the "pie" and the "crust" from each square of fabric . Putting each half into different bags, shaking them, then pulling a crust and a pie and sewing them together. Two very hard things to do....creating curves from fabric that didn't go together and making it work. I am so proud of how it turned out. It hangs on my dining room wall.
I love the colors you chose. Look forward to seeing the finished product

I have been watching the free crafty BOM this morning...finishing the quilt. I did not make the quilt, but I did do a few and made a quilt - I made the string block - quite a few...that is my favorite block. I also tried a few of the other blocks. Now seeing if I can get any tips for finishing the quilt.

Good for YOU! As a teacher, I am all for people learning new things and fighting thru the challenge. I love your colors. They look lovely.

I like to try new things, but the Double Wedding Ring (pieced, not applique), has me back to simple, easy patterns for awhile!

Yes, I find many of my UFO's are because I reach one of those out of my comfort zones. I STOP, sometimes I am able to sleep on it and figure it out, or I do additional research either with tutorials, you tubes, this site, more books, and often it stays patiently, waiting for me to grasp that step so I can move forward. (Also, my seam ripper.) (It would be nice to have a Mom, Grandmother at that time) Love your colors and values.
