I'm 58 - loving the sewing, quilting, comradery of getting together with other quilters. I'd say the median age of our quilt guild is probably somewhere in the 40's - I've never taken a poll :)

Well, I am currently 62 but am hoping for many more years. My Mom is 99 and still going strong on her own. I did start quilting in my 20s so I still think of myself as middle aged sewer and not a senior yet. Still have lots to learn and do.

I will be 61 in 2 weeks. Each year is a gift. Ask your DH when he is 60 "what is old". Bet he has a different answer. You might also let him know how much you can learn from us "old Ladies".

My husband has always called the quilting ladies "blue haired hens". Why? Because quilters are old ladies who color their hair with a blue tint and when we all get together we sound like a bunch of hens cackling. What can I say? Gotta love him!
