This is exactly me also ... although I still think of myself as youngish most days. I am the second youngest in my quilt group but that is only because we meet during the day and most of the younger women are working or have small children to tend to during the day. My Guild has a huge mix of ages. So, how old is your husband and who does he hang out with?

42 now, but geeze, I started quilting when Emilie was a baby- she's 16 now. So that means I was a quilter in my mid 20's. The problem with youth is competition for money between fabric and diapers, and for time to do it. If I had no problems with money then, I would have been making quilts for every bed and every doll the kids possessed!

64 but I think a fairer way would be to ask when did you start quilting.. Just think how many started as a child and are still doing it, says alot about the love of quilting.

I guess I am an "old Lady" 68. I sew for charity. Take care of grandchildren when the need arises. Walk 2 to 4 miles a day. Take care of my home and garden, make our bread and cook mostly from scratch. There are women much younger who might not do as much. "old lady" is a state of mind....depends on whose mind. Tell hubby there are "old men" who watch sports....does he? lol
