I am 61 and a grandma. However even my physical therapist says I do not look or act like a grandma. His Mom is 61 and he stays I am younger than she is. Ha! I think quilting keeps us active, squatting to the floor to pickup pins, or to pin baste a quilt, reaching high in closets to get the batting down, learning new techniques, trying new things, budgeting, selling, trading, making new friends. My dr. says quilting will prevent dementia and those things associated with it. Don't know yet if she is correct. Lols
I do quilt with ladies who are in their 70s, 80s, and 90s.
