I butt extra pieces of batting together and zig zag the edges. They can be pressed flat and eventually you have a nice size that you can use for something else.

I was thinking of the doll quilts, if you have many, maybe you could connect them together and make a quilt or wallhanging for a later sewing room :/

I love making bags - all sizes - and the scraps of batting work perfectly for them.

My quilt guild is making neck pillows for the soldiers to use on their long trip to Iraq or Afghanistan. We use scraps of batting to stuff the pillows. They like them firm, so it takes quite a bit to stuff them. They really appreciate them.

I use leftover batting for ragged flannels. Two rectangles make a square, and the batting only has to be 2 and 3/4" wide. I get a lot of pieces that way!

"No basting" quilt frame? Sorry, but I do not know what that is.
Can you post a picture? Thanks.
