Beautiful quilt and I know she will shed many tears while curled up in it, but also will heal.
Yes, I think a picture added to the label would be appropriate. Maybe add the Rainbow Bridge poem to it.
Yes, I agree with the Rainbow Bridge and also "Be thou comforted, Little Dog. Thou, too, in Resurrection, shall have a little Golden Tail"...Martin Luther (Meaning her dog will be in Heaven and will be an Angel). Edie

She'll be comforted by the quilt - I think picture only on the back is best.

Love the quilt, and yes, I would add something about her fur baby.

As a mother of two fur babies, I would appreciate a photo of the dog on the quilt. That way she will always feel like she's is still cuddling with both dogs. I would put a label on the back "In loving memory of ????" and date of birth and death. A nice memorial. I did something similar when a friends beloved dog died to a tote bag. She loved it and set it by her bed so Smoke would be close to herl

If it were for me, I would love to have the photo, name & dates on a quilt. Just because some of my dogs have passed, does not mean they are forgotten. To me, that would be a very loving gesture.
How thoughtful of you to do this.

Possibly with a note book with little inspiring things that she can read when she would like to and perhaps write little stories about her and her dog!

There is also a beautiful story about James Stewart and his dog. Very comforting.

I have kept all the cards we received and stories and messages. I have them in a large envelope and read and re-read. It'll be ten years September 10, 2011 since our dog died and I still miss her....S. H. Bridget - Bridgie for short. Edie

My heart goes out to her. I have been there. It is devastating.
    She will love the quilt

If I had a picture of both dogs together I might put that on the label on the back and label it "Friends" with their names
