I say take them. You made them and they are your work, so go for it! We would love to see the pictures, as well!

You use words: "not delivered yet" which would suggest you have quilted for someone else and then
"I joined the guild to grow my business". Both these suggest neither are your quilts but rather a show and tell would almost be like an advertisement for your business. The suggestion to ask the guild about their policy is to me necessary. Many guilds have associate members who are in the "business" where advertising might be possible, otherwise to suggest using show and tell to "grow one's business" is to me not appropriate.

I agree... show your quilts... they tell a story about you much better than mere words can. I love seeing other's quilts, and often get inspired to try something new.

Show and tell is as much fun for the one showing as it is for the one watching the show. It is for every member.

Just to clarify I made the quilts, One is for my son's best friend and one is for his daughter. I have not gifted them with the quilts yet is what I meant. I did take them to S&T. You were all correct. I love seeing other peoples work and they enjoyed seeing mine. I brought 2 of their donation quilts home to quilt for them. I even signed up for the UFO challenge.

I am the current president of the local guild and we encourage new members to bring in their quilts for show and tell - however we ask that you say who did the quilting (if you didn't) - -give credit where credit is due - we feel that by encouraginging them they become more involved and if they are seeking suggestions they can certainly get it

Usually everyone enjoys seeing the variety of quilts that are brought for show and tell, and the more the merrier. At least that's the feeling I get from our guild. I can't imagine your newness in the group would create any problem at all. As for growing your business, if you mean that you will be offering your LA services to other quilters, surely most potential customers would love to see as many examples of your work as possible before turning a top over to you.
