No, I seldom do the same pattern twice. There are way too amny things out there I want to try! The exception has been the four layer cake pattern, have done two of those babies.

I try different patterns, some work, some don't. I have done Irish Chain more than once, it is my favorite pattern.

When it comes to quilting I do what I like for the person who I am making it for, or what they might l like. Be it a star embroidered or what ever.
I want it fairly easy since I am fairly new at it but they all turn out pretty good.

Even if I like a pattern and plan to make it again, I like trying new ones, and so I rarely repeat one.

I'm a fairly new quilter & like to try out new techniques. This way I can improve my skills. I've also done a BOM from the LQS so I could get a sample of 12 different star patterns. Hopefully, one of these days I can design my own quilt based on what I've learned from different types of quilts.

I like to find patterns that have different techniques. Try not to repeat.

I have made 2 double wedding ring quilts. One is on the quilt frame now and one I finished in 1984. Both are for myself. I just finished 4 dresden plate quilts. One each for my 4 children. I made different colors and different quilting patterns but I don't ever care to make another dresden plate quilt. These are all queen size and I really got tired of them. They are going to be Christmas presents for my children this year. The ones for the grands are all different patterns so that will make things go faster.

I repeat only on request. I like challenging myself.
