I used to quilt with my sister. She passed away for two years ago. My daughter and I quilted together...she moved to Canada. However, I am in a small group of quilting ladies. We got together yesterday and some sewed with their sewing machines, but many of us just sat around and talked and did hand work. It was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon.

Me my two girls and our friend.

Girly time! It's funny hearing all the machines purring.

You are truly blessed. I have a best friend who is a quilter and we get together about every 3 months and have a sewing session for a couple of days. I also get together with 2 other friends once a week for the day. We met at LQS classes.

I'd love to have family to quilt with, actually to do anything with. My eldest daughter is the only one near me ( about 2 Hrs drive away) and is not interested in craft and doesn't like much about Patchwork. She has allowed me to give DGS and DGD a few quilts.
Any way lucky you
Happy Quilting

My dgd came today and we worked on quilt tops. My dd has decided to try one quilt top. She had said she wasnt interested on quilting.
she would buy material and ask me to make a quilt for her.
Hope she gets hooked on quilting too.

I love my quilting days with my sister and friends. It is truly the best therapy for anything that ails you.

Just me, myself and I. Unless I go over the mountains to VA, which I still do about twice a year and then my evil daughter, (she's the one who lured me into quilting when I was an innocent), and I quilt every evening when she gets home from work and dinner is done and we do the dishes, then we hurry upstairs to the sewing room. On weekends, we find as much fabric to buy as we can. Oh, I love going over the mountains.

I quilt with my granddaughter. She is 10 and has made quite a few baby quilts for charity
