we do lots of projects together,,,,, round robins, scrap swaps etc. and we laugh alot!
for those who dont have this priviledge, think about 'adopting' some senior quilters or beginner quilters! Its great fun and is a wonderful cure for cabin fever!

I quilt every Thursday with my sister-in-law and my aunt. We are joined by 7 other dear friends. We have lunch (either provided by the hostess or brown bag it) and then quilt, knit, crochet, or whatever strikes our fancy at the time. We rotate weekly to each others homes. This is a fellowship that each of us values very much.

Right now...it's just me, but my mom loves the cathedral window pattern and has agreed to be my helper (turning the blocks inside out) when I get them made...I'll take it!!!! BTW...I'm using Eddie's tutorial as my guide to do the CW by machine!! :)

Just me my family is about 1500 miles from me. When we lived closer my mom and daughter would some times get together to sew.

I used to quilt with my sister. She passed away for two years ago. My daughter and I quilted together...she moved to Canada. However, I am in a small group of quilting ladies. We got together yesterday and some sewed with their sewing machines, but many of us just sat around and talked and did hand work. It was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon.

You are truly blessed. I have a best friend who is a quilter and we get together about every 3 months and have a sewing session for a couple of days. I also get together with 2 other friends once a week for the day. We met at LQS classes.

I'd love to have family to quilt with, actually to do anything with. My eldest daughter is the only one near me ( about 2 Hrs drive away) and is not interested in craft and doesn't like much about Patchwork. She has allowed me to give DGS and DGD a few quilts.
    Any way lucky you
    Happy Quilting
