    Default quilting hoop stand

I recall seeing a beautiful, wood quilting hoop on a stand here on the QB but I think it is one that is no longer being manufactured. (Maybe it was referred to as difficult to find) It appeared to be finished like a furniture piece, maybe started with an R??? I tried in vain using the search so I am hoping someone will know because they have one of these.

I have a Hinterberg quilting hoop on a stand. I just looked at their website and it does appear they are not making the stands anymore which is really too bad. I love mine.

There is one advertised on the "big auction site" for sale and it has two different size hoops that come with it. I have this set up with only one hoop which is probably the same as the one owned by quiltingcandy . Don't know if this is the one you are asking about or not. Just put in "Hinterberg quilting hoop stand" and it should come up on auction.

I remember seeing one called the Jasmine, was that it?

Sometimes you can do a search with the item and part of the name and your friend Google will find it for you. I searched for "R quilting hoop" since you said you thought it started with R, and Google found Norwood quilting hoops.

I have one that is a large oval hoop on a small but stable free standing frame. It's wide enough that it will hold the weight of the quilt and you can slide your knees under it. The hoop tilts as well so you can vary the angle you're quilting at.

The Grace Frame Co. used to make a couple very nice quilting hoops. But they no longer make any hoops or frames for hand quilting.

Peckish, you are right! Jasmine Heirlooms was absolutely the one. Not sure why I thought it started with an R. The link to Malia's Needle had a lot of information but it appears the store may be closed. Anyway, I am now on the lookout for one of these. I put it on my quilting wishlist (an actual index card with a list). Thanks again. Good memory, Peggy.

These are very nicely made quilting hoops and they have many different frame bases.

Thanks for the link to these. They look well made and I will check out the videos, too.

I ordered mine from them and love it. It did take several months for it to arrive because he hand crafts each and every one to order.
