Unhappy Really Ugly Quilt

I made a top that I thought I would love, but it turned out so ugly (to me). It reminds me of my grandmother's awful flowered chinz sofa when I was a child. I don't know what to do with it. I have tried to find something to border it, but I have been dissatisfied with all the fabrics I have auditioned. I strongly suspect that is because I find the fabrics so awful when put together. I know, I picked them out and really thought they would be beautiful together . . . what was I thinking?!?! Was I just blind or does this happen to others, too. Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions? I can post a photo of it if necessary. Maybe there's someone out there who will love it, but I can't help but think this will be my first UFO.

I also just made a lap quilt that I do not really like. I like the fabrics, but the pattern looks funny. I think that I will either finish it and donate it or give it to one of my daughters if they like it.

If it really looks like your grandmother's flowered chintz sofa, I'm betting someone is a nursing home would LOVE it!

All is not lost. It may be a good candidate for cutting and adding sashing to, like a fractured picture like Ricky Tims Convergence pattern? It also may make a lovely background for some black silhouettes, maybe a garden gate or stained glass window outline? Without seeing it that is all I can think of right now.

How about adding a border of the deep rose(a solid or reads solid) and perhaps the green to tone down the flowers.
