I think I'd go with a red&white print, and a very creamy tone-on-tone yellow to meld the two together.

Who is the quilt for? Male, female? Someone who likes bright & bold colours or someone who has a more mellow personality?

i love red, yellow, and blue together.

i'm working on one right now. the red is a reddish pink. its a self portrait, with NY Beauties in the corners, and the black strip of fabric will be flying geese.

its my center for the international round robin II

Wow, Klue! That is spectacular! When you show an example of the colors together, they look totally different than what I had pictured! I guess I am still thinking crayola colors! :?

I just love that red and white.

As to who its for no one yet just used a gift certificate i won from fabshophop. Have bought lots of fabric lately most of it kind of asian and put mostly solids with the prints but wanted this to be kind of eye catching and something i wouldnt normally use. I tend to be a little boring with my colors.

    Thanks for everyone suggestions.

How about a burgundy red, tan and offwhite. Have one done with those colors and it's gorgeous.
