Why do we do this to ourselves? "Seamstome" you have put it all into perspective. Thank you for some comic relief on an otherwise gloomy day. Merry Christmas to all - no matter what you celebrate.

This year I actually got every thing done by December 14th-the 15th was my youngest GDs 7th birthday so I set a deadline this year -it actually worked out so I will TRY to do it again next year---key word is--- TRY--- : )

I understand completely! I have completed 1 queen size quilt, 5 bow tucks bags, and 1 custom bag (extra large) in the past 2 weeks. I have finished 6 dozen buckeyes today, as well as making a batch of caramel pecan nut roll and cutting out tees for a memory quilt (that does have to be finished by 24th). I also have cut-out cookies to make and frost as well as a matching set of crib bumpers/baby quilt that have to be finished by 18th. And like you, there are bags of stuff everywhere is sewing room, leaving no room to work. Thank goodness DH is very understanding. I think I need a couple elves to help me finish!

I loved your post! My biggest worry besides finishing things is finding the floor of the sewing room before all the relatives converge upon our house for Christmas Day!

I know this feeling very well have 5 rag quilts to snip and wash this week, went xmas shopping to try and finish up the rest yesterday, that didn't work so well either. Still have to mail out stuff to the family on the east coast.

Why oh why do we do this to ourselves every year, with the intent that we will start earlier next year.

Too many ideas, too little time, and oh yes that grandson who loves to help me sew, and you can not say no to.

Merry xmas all

[Quote: Slave labor Im telling you......This Kris Krengel is a real slave driver. Here's what he put on my work list. Five ten minute tablerunners (that never take me ten minutes for some reason). Four reversible aprons with accent fabrics and pockets on both sides, all made to size from a PXS to a size Woman's 20. One regular pieced tablerunner with matching placemats. A sewing basket. Four 4-in-1 placemats. Five scarves. Three snap purses and an appliqued crib quilt with matching pillow. Quote]

And a partridge in a pear tree. lol
