I agree with these ladies. Quilts are so much fun to look at and seeing all the patterns a D9P makes when put together would be fun. I also think a young girl would like it that way, not so standard a quilty look. Let us see it when it is all done - maybe with your daughter holding it. :)

The sashing looks kinda pink...or is it just the pic?
Sashing corrals the blocks. The lack of sashing allows the D9P pattern to flow across the quilt. Totally different looks, and both are attractive.
