Lots of good thoughts here. My personal preference is no sashing and let the blocks form those secondary white crosses.
Be sure to show us after you have it quilted! Love your blocks.

Both are beautiful, but I vote for no sashing. The secondary pattern created is eliminated when you add the sashing.

I like the one with the sashing because it "contains" the quilt but both are lovely

I don't usually like a quilt without sashing. But this one I really like with out. Either way its still going to look good!

I like the idea of white sashing, that way the blocks float. Also, setting the blocks on point would be cool too.
