My goodness ladies, it's just a table and probably very portable and cleanable or it wouldn't have been used in the first place. When I found out quality sewing scissors were better then regular household scissors and everyone wanted to use the good ones, which frustrated me but didn't I want to use the good ones too?, I bought more of the good ones. No one bothers my scissors because they are exactly like all the rest of the scissors in the house. Frustration gone.

I wouldn't have handled that at all well...that ranks up there with using sewing scissors for cardboard...

Why not have all the scissors be the same as your good scissors? Why make a distinction? Everyone has good scissors to use for all jobs. I have Ginghers and Clover scissors in the desk drawer, kitchen drawer, and in the bathroom. No one looks for my good sewing scissors anymore.

Oh my! I can so see that happening but my sewing room is upstairs and my family wouldn't think of going up there. Now, I did lock it when I had my family for Thanksgiving. I trust my grandchildren but my brother's grandchildren don't know the rules. 11 kids under 10, who knows what could happen.

That might have happened twenty years ago, but they've learned a bit since then.
