Doesn't surprise me at all! This is how men think, purely in practical ways. They needed a table, you had a table. End of story. Glad he cleaned it up, though.

I might have been tempted to tell him to buy you a new table. What I'd like to know is was there a project on your table and if so what did they do with it? I know I get testy when people take/use my things without asking permission, so I sincerely doubt I would have been nice about it.

That one takes the cake...or table!!! Too funny to be angry, but I'd give some serious consideration to a nice lock. Oh my gosh, I don't know what I would do.

I have a 6' folding table that I have a 2'x4' piece of plywood wrapped for ironing on. Cleaning a dear on it and then cleaning the table wouldn't affect my ironing at all. It's just a plastic table and some bleach would clean it all. No problem for me.

It's amazing how many only see meanness in such a harmless act. I think the family is a cheerful and loving bunch of people!

I don't think it was mean at all, but personally, if that happened in MY house, I'd be horrified and furious.

BUT, I'm a vegetarian and have been my whole life long. If someone was close enough to me to have access to my sewing room they'd well know my lifestyle, so if that happened in my house it WOULD have been done out of meanness; or at minimum out of a deep lack of respect. And that would make me very angry! (Fortunately that's highly unlikely though. Not a lot of hunting going on in my suburban neighborhood and not a lot of disrespectful people allowed in my home!)

But I'd probably weep like a baby if someone butchered a deer at my house anyway, even if my sewing stuff wasn't involved at all! To me, they are not dinner, they're cute. (Yes, I know they're edible pests, but they're CUTE edible pests.)

To each their own though, I don't begrudge hunters securing their meal (in fact I think if you shoot it, you BETTER eat it), I just don't want it happening in my sight or in my house, and definitely not on my sewing table!!
