I like Connecting Threads also. I have ordered from them often and never have been disappointed. I love the batiks they have and the price.

I've heard that people like the thread from connecting threads. Which kind do people like? I want to switch from coats & clark and am wondering if you are using polyester cones - which looks like it is for long arm or cotton cones or cotton spools?? thanks!

I love Connecting Threads, and it's good to hear a positive feedback.

I went back to the CT website, and re-discovered that they have really great free patterns there. A bonus!

Another online store with great customer service is the Missouri Star Quilt Company. Have ordered from them several times and not been disappointed by anything. A nice in person store to visit is the new quilt shop in El Dorado, KS. They are the Prairie Flower Quilt Shop (maybe). They're new but have good cutomer service and everyone's friendly and interested in what you're working on or buying the fabric for. In there just this week and got some fabric. Told them I didn't have anything planned for it, yet, but it would eventually get used in something.

Connecting Threads is one of 3 branches of a company. The other two are just as great to work with. One is Artists Club, which carries books, surfaces, paints, brushes, etc, for Tole Painting (that is one of my other hobbies). The other is Knit Works, which carries their own brand of yarns, needles, etc. All three have great prices and customer service. I can recommend them all!

I've always had great experiences with Connecting Threads, they are top notch to deal with. I love their threads, and literally have 1 of every color. I like their longarm threads as well as their kits, batiks, etc. I visit them quite often. :D

I've always gotten good service for a good price from Connecting Threads. It is becoming rarer. I just had a horrible customer service experience with Herschners which made me question whether or not I should continue to do business with them. My family and I have used them for thirty years so it makes me rather sad.
