I have tha same problem same machine.
Dealer said to use same weight thread in top and bobbin and do not turn tension to 2 like when dense embroidery leave at 3.

I agree looks like tension problem to me, good luck!

Take the machine in for service. Looks like the tension plates are not working right, or the bobbin tension is slipping. Both are techie problems.
