It depends on my mood. I am generally a fast girl.

Whatever I feel like, or sometimes it depends on what music is playing.

If I take my time the quality definitely improves. The 1/4 seam is more consistent and I use "Jack" (the ripper) a lot less. When I have a rush job I don't enjoy the project as much.

I would say I'm a turtle. I work slowly so I don't make any mistakes and enjoy what I do

I'm sssslllllooooooooooowwwwwwwww.... but I enjoy every minute of it!!! When I see how much some of you accomplish, I sometimes wish I was a faster seamstress... but then I realize I'm not in a race... It's OK if I'm slow. On the other hand, it's sometimes frustrating when I think of all the quilts and other projects I want to try...

So, I just try to enjoy every minute I'm quilting... It's fun to read the responses!

I cherish sewing and quilting so I take my time and enjoy what I am doing. I find doing it slowly eliminates stress instead of feeling pressured. However, I realize that younger people are working and raising families and have to cram it in when they can.

I speed up when the blocks are repeated - and repeated - and repeated. When the steps are "new", I DO slow down!
