Oops. Don't feel bad, I've done this probably hundreds of times over the years, probably when the tea ran out and no more caffeine. Sometimes an oops can be a whole new block.

I don't have pictures but when I made the Warm Wishes quilt I can't tell you how many times I got the blocks turned wrong. It was difficult to see, too; I corrected one, thought I was done, then found two more. I had to walk away from that quilt for awhile to get enough perspective to see my errors.

Well, this is the best thread ever! After 15 years, I still consider myself a quilting newbie. I do the kinds of things described here all the time. I thought it was just me. It is so nice to find that I'm in good company. I feel so encouraged, so thank you all!

Yep, I be done it too, had a block turned the wrong way and didn't notice it until it was quilted, bound and being auctioned off in our guild's quilt auction. No one is mistake-proof I guess. I hope the quilt owner still loves the quilt after they figured it out LoL.

And speaking of mistakes my auto correct just "fixed" that last post. Now I'm really laughing out loud!

Me too. If you made them all that way then it wouldn't be wrong and might look good. I didn't know it was wrong until I saw the second picture.

I have put in a block upside down and now known it until the top was finished.

Yes, I finished a quilt recently that when put together the blocks made a diagonal pattern. I had noticed and changed a couple mistakes..thought I had caught them all..quilted it..sent it to Alabama to GS..forgot to take a picture. So he wrapped it around himself and someone photographed him & the quilt..when I got the picture on facebook it showed up very clearly..When I mentioned it no one else had noticed it.
I do try to get them right but most of mine may have something I didn't catch..I Don't like mistakes in my quilts but that happens..I did not show my quilts for a long time ...went to a big quilt show and found some ribbon winning quilts had a flaw in them..encourage me to try again..and not be so critical.
