What a nice surprise and you are lucky to have caring siblings, I do too. When my dad died in 1980, my mother gave us some money and I bought the top of the line Singer, one of the first computer models. I loved that machine, and it lasted until 2001 when our house was struck by lightning and all the electronics were blown out, replacement value was the Janome 10000 and she has been with me since then.

Thanks everyone for you kind words and thoughts. I think we have been close as sibling, because our Mom, God rest her soul, never knew how to share or express love, so we turned to each other. She had Altzheimers and after 3 years, it actually was a blessing to see her go. Oh, just so you know we are human, my sister said if it had been a larger amount, she might have had second thoughts. She was just kidding of course.
